Hello, Bulldog readers! It's the end of the school year and everyone here at the Beach is excited. The growth of our students is measurable and impressive. We could not be happier with the successes and failures of our students this year! There was a lot of learning!
As this 8th grade class moves to the high school, and our new crop of students comes from 5th grade, our eyes look towards the future, and we see great things. Things to look for this Summer:
- Beach Middle School Media Center remodel! Check back with the blog when the school year begins to see the amazing transformation of our shared space
- Departures: Rahn Rosentreter and Jim Otto are retiring from Chelsea Schools, and will be greatly missed. Ms. Wright will be pursuing a Master's degree at U of M. Johnny Smith is taking a few years off to spend time with family. Sarah Smith will be heading to North Creek to bolster the special education ranks. We will miss them all so much!
- Arrivals: David Slusser returns to Beach to teach 7th grade global studies. Katie Steklac will return to her old stomping grounds in the Beach band room. A new teacher consultant and French teacher will be hired over the summer. We are so excited about our new additions!
- Summer sports camps will be in full swing, and football will begin before the first week of school.
More to come, but before I sign off, I just want to say how appreciative I am of the warm reception I received in Chelsea. I look forward to ingratiating myself into the community even more next year!
Enjoy the Bulldog Days of Summer!
